Appendix E. Observed vs. predicted genet survival.
We include the following figures to demonstrate that our survival regressions do a reasonable job of capturing observed, size-dependent variation in survival. In each figure, black crosses are data points for an individual genet in one year-to-year transition (1=survived, 0=died), observed mean survival for each size bin is in blue, and predicted mean survival in red. Error bars show 1 standard deviation. See the section Summary of study sites and species selection in Materials and Methods for the abbreviations for species names.
