Author's description
This FORTRAN program predicts the feeding selectivity of planktivorous white crappie (Pomoxis annularis) feeding from a known distribution of zooplankton. The component-analysis modeling approach used divides each feeding event into four steps; prey location, prey pursuit, prey attack, and prey retention, and each step is treated separately in the model. Input values for the model are the size and genera distribution of zooplankton at a given depth, the light intensity and turbidity at the same depth, and the length of fish modeled. The model includes both the program steps and a brief description of each algorithm used.
