Appendix A. Maps showing the location of recruitment experiment in San Juan de la Costa, Mexico.
A map of San Juan de la Costa, Baja California Sur, indicating the arrangement of the five replicates of each of the three experiment treatments: boulders with Sargassum, bare boulders, and artificial Sargassum. The boulders with Sargassum fronds were transplanted from the natural Sargassum fringe (see Appendix B). The bare boulders were transplanted from the beach. The treatment of boulders with artificial Sargassum was made by attaching artificial Sargassum onto bare boulders (see Appendix C). Habitat patches were 5 × 5 m (25 m2).
