Susan Harrison, James B. Grace, Kendi F. Davies, Hugh D. Safford, and Joshua H. Viers. 2006. Invasion in a diversity hotspot: exotic cover and native richness in the Californian serpentine flora. Ecology 87:695–703.

Appendix A (Table A1). Bivariate correlations among predictors included in model of native species richness. LNR = log native richness, LEC = log of exotic cover, C/M = calcium to magnesium ratio, K = soil potassium, B = soil boron, OV = percent overstory canopy, OV2 = percent overstory squared (divided by 10,000), BUR = amount of burrowing, GR = grazed or not, LPPT = log regional annual precipitation, LELV = log regional elevation. Correlations shown in bold would be judged to be significantly different from zero under bivariate normal assumptions with P < 0.05. Sample size was 109. Standard deviations are given in the last line of the matrix.
