2 State U.S. state containing plot
3 County County containing plot
4 0.01 m2 richness Number of rooted vascular plant species per 0.01 sq. meters, averaged over 8 replicates
5 0.1 m2 richness Number of rooted vascular plant species per 0.1 sq. meters, averaged over 8 replicates
6 1 m2 richness Number of rooted vascular plant species per 1.0 sq. meters, averaged over 8 replicates
7 10 m2 richness Number of rooted vascular plant species per 10.0 sq. meters, averaged over 8 replicates
8 100 m2 richness Number of rooted vascular plant species per 100 sq. meters, averaged over 4 replicates
9 1000 m2 richness Number of rooted vascular plant species per 1000 sq. meters, one replicate (full plot)
10 Z value Calculated species accumulation rate (Z) for 6 richness values per plot, using Arrhenius eq. (log S = Z log A + log c)
11 log C value Calculated value of log c in Arrhenius eq., as above
