   Notes: Individual growth (change in height, cm) and survival were measured between October 1995 and March 1997, and during the El Niño of March October 1997. Effects on survival were tested with a nominal logistic regression, and growth with a two-way ANOVA. Both height and number of leaves had a positive affect on growth and survival.
