Appendix A. Sampling locations at the Cerro Grande fire, New Mexico, USA.

TABLE A1. Burn severity classification of sample points on before-after transects sampled pre- and post-fire at and near the Cerro Grande Fire, New Mexico. Data from bolded transects were used for calculating post-fire detection probabilities, but were not used to calculate densities because they were surveyed only in August/September (see Appendix B for more details). The number of samples per transect used for pre- and post-fire density comparisons were derived from pooling survey points, stratified by burn severity and cover type.
