Appendix A. One study plot
(3 x 10 m) out of 240 in an old-field in southwest Saskatchewan. This plot was
broadcast with seed cleanings in 1994 and photographed in 2003. The vegetation
within the plots is dominated by the native grass Bouteloua gracilis. The
vegetation outside is dominated by the introduced grass Agropyron cristatum.
Yellow flowers are Taraxacum officinale.
