ANOVA examining the influence of transect (Transect: BM, PL, or MS), tidal elevation (Elevation: high, mid, or low), species of propagule (Species: Avicennia, Laguncularia, or Rhizophora), and release point (Release point: each species released at three points per elevation on a transect) on the mean distance moved by marked and released propagules. Analysis I compared movements of the three species’ propagules over two-week periods, while Analysis II compared movement over the entire periods of monitoring: four weeks for Avicennia and Rhizophora vs. two weeks for Laguncularia. See text for details. Analyses were mixed-model with Transect and Release point treated as random factors, and Elevation and Species as fixed. Release point was nested within Transect, Elevation, and Species. Distances were log10 (X + 1) transformed prior to analysis.
